About
Eric C. Thomas, Counselor, MA, LPCC-S

I named this practice “Crosstrees” in honor of my grandparents - a reference to their street where I have wonderful memories of childhood summers. But “crosstrees” is also a term for the upper supports on a ship’s mast. It’s my hope that our counseling services here can help act as your support and stability to help guide you to calmer waters.
I believe therapy is beneficial for everyone, whether you’re stuck in a rut or feeling more like your best self. Counseling can help you process and navigate life changes, set goals, implement self-care, and learn how to cope. I care about connecting with my clients to figure out exactly how to help, and it’s my goal that that each session inspires a feeling of hope.

I was born and raised in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Human and Family Sciences from The Ohio State University, and a master’s degree in Counseling from Xavier University. Before starting this practice, I worked in both community mental health and private practice. Although I work primarily with adults here at Crosstrees, I have experience working with clients spanning from early adolescence to the elderly.

In my free time, I love spending quality time with my spouse, Lisa, and our kids, Sammy and Annie. My favorite thing to do is watch our kids participate in the activities and sports they love. We have two dogs, Benny and Jett, who both bring a lot of joy into our family life.
